Platform Verduurzaming Industrie (PVI) opgericht. Het PVI beoogt de benodigde kennis en expertise te bundelen en makkelijker toegankelijk te maken. Bijvoorbeeld t.a.v. technologie, subsidiemogelijkheden en inspirerende voorbeelden. Ook Smart Delta Resources heeft een bijdrage geleverd.

Het realiseren van emissiereductie in de industrie vraagt om draagvlak en commitment. Samenwerking wordt steeds belangrijker om tijdig groene elektronen en moleculen te produceren en infrastructuur om vraag en aanbod te kunnen koppelen. Zowel lokaal, regionaal als landelijk en internationaal. En laagdrempelige toegang tot kennis, expertise en inspirerende voorbeelden. Dat waren de belangrijkste lessen uit een eerder gehouden webinar “De energietransitie: Hoe kom je van ambitie tot realisatie in de regio?” die georganiseerd was door het Platform Verduurzaming Industrie, VEMW, RVO  en FedEC met medewerking van Smart Delta Resources (SDR) en de branche-organisaties VNCI en FNLI.

VEMW voorzitter Gertjan Lankhorst: “De energietransitie kun je niet alleen realiseren. Daarom hebben we samen met RVO en FedEC het Platform Verduurzaming Industrie (PVI) opgericht. Het PVI beoogt de benodigde kennis en expertise te bundelen en makkelijker toegankelijk te maken. Bijvoorbeeld t.a.v. technologie, subsidiemogelijkheden en inspirerende voorbeelden. We zijn nu klaar om de samenwerking in de keten met andere partijen, zoals in Zeeland met Smart Delta Resources, te verbreden.”

Over 660 journeys a day. That is the number of lorry journeys for incoming and outgoing goods and products – covering some 21,000 km, the majority of which are currently carried out by diesel lorries – that Volvo Car Gent generates every day on and around its site in the port area. To make these operations more sustainable, safer, but above all more efficient, the car manufacturer wants to test whether some of these journeys could be carried out autonomously in the future.
